In 2007, after a recent breakup with my then-fiance', I had a million-dollars in debt on a brand new home we purchased together while I was raising 3 children with minimal support as a single mom.

Unfortunately, I was forced to turn to my only "savings" during this difficult time: My 401K that I had spent 17 years building in my career in the legal field.

This was my only option...

After I left my 9-5 job in the legal field, I went into outside sales for 10 years making 6 figures working 20 hours a week.

But then something unexpected happened...

My income from my outside sales job was cut in half (overnight) during the real estate crisis in 2008; my 401K was depleted; I was not old enough for social security; and I had very limited options.

The amount of debt seemed insurmountable.

This left me with ZERO money in my savings account, no hope of an enjoyable (let alone, early) retirement, and made me wonder if starting to plan for retirement at that point even made sense.

Living paycheck-to-paycheck and with no other stream of income, I knew I needed to do something fast.

So I took my part-time online business (my side hustle)

and I made it my full-time online business!

After spending years treating it as a side hustle, I finally went ALL IN until it became my “full-time” business. I was relieved that I was controlling my own financial destiny and I finally could make my own money.

But I had an issue.

I figured out that having just one stream of income is not the same as having multiple streams of passive income.

So in 2011, I decided to write and publish my very first book.

I always dreamt about being a full-time writer and creating enough passive income through royalties, so I decided to give it a shot.

But when I published my first book, something unexpected happened: I made ZERO sales

I’m actually grateful I didn’t make any sales… because I learned a lot from that failed book launch.

How?

Simply by launching my second book in 2012 and getting 2,128 downloads… in a single day!

And that's when I became a Bestselling Author!

What changed? What did I do differently?…

Simple.
